TUNISIA

DAY 01

Singapore → Tunis

Assemble at Changi International Airport, have a pleasant flight to Tunis – the capital and largest city of Tunisia.


DAY 02

Tunis → Hammamet

Visit the Kasbah of Hammamet, an important historical building and symbol of Hammamet.

Climb to the highest point of the castle for a view over the old town.

Overnight in Hammamet.

DAY 03

Hammamet

Visit Carthage, founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978.

Visit Sidi Bou Said, the atmospheric blue-and-white cliffside village overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, with time for mint tea at the “Step Café.”

Also see Yasmin in Hammamet, a seaside new town blending classical and modern design.

DAY 04

Hammamet → Kairouan → Tozeur

Coach to Kairouan, the world's third largest holy city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Visit the Mosque of Uqba (Great Mosque of Kairouan), the oldest Muslim place of worship in Africa and the fourth holiest site in Islam.

Photo stop at the Zaouia of Sidi Sahab.

Continue to Tozeur, Tunisia's largest southwestern oasis with 2 million date palm trees.

DAY 05

Tozeur → Djerid Salt Lake → Douz

Take a 4x4WD off-road trip to Star Wars film sites at Ong Jemal, featured in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

Visit Chebika Oasis, filming location of The English Patient.

See the vast Chott El Djerid Salt Lake, the largest salt pan of the Sahara.

Continue to Douz, gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Optional camel ride and sunset, own expense.

DAY 06

Douz → Matmata → Djerba

Visit the Underground Homes of Matmata, a small Berber-speaking town where residents live in traditional underground “troglodyte” dwellings, offering protection from the desert climate.

Continue to Djerba Island.

DAY 07

Djerba

Visit the Musee De Guellala Folk Museum, showcasing the history and traditional culture of Djerba.

Visit Erriadh Village, home to the “Djerbahood” street art project, transforming the village into an open-air gallery.

Optional pirate ship experience with a landing on Flamingo Island (own expense).

DAY 08

Djerba → El Jem → Sousse

Visit the Amphitheatre of El Jem, the largest surviving ancient Roman amphitheatre in North Africa, holding up to 35,000 spectators.

Visit Port El Kantaoui, a beautiful garden harbour.

Continue to the Medina of Sousse, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Islamic architecture and historic monuments.

DAY 09

Sousse → Tunis

Visit the Bardo National Museum, the second most important museum on the African continent after the Egyptian Museum of Cairo.

Explore the Medina of Tunis, a maze of ancient streets and souqs.

Continue to Avenue Habib Bourguiba, known as the “Champs-Elysées of Tunis.”

Tunis → Singapore

Transfer to the international airport for your return flight to Singapore.
