the capital city and commercial hub of Azerbaijan with coastline along the Caspian Sea. (Meal on board)
Baku
Upon arrival, tour the city of Baku with a visit to Heydar Aliyev Center, designed by Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive flowing, curved style. View the Governor's Garden, Government House, Azerbaijan State Philharmonic Hall, and modern landmarks such as the Flame Towers, Crystal Hall and the F1 racing track. Continue to Icherisheher, the old city and historical core listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. Visit the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, surrounded by old caravanserais and local souvenir stalls. (Meal on board, D)
Baku → Gobustan → Baku
Drive to Gobustan, a state cultural and historical reserve
established in 1966. Tour the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural landscape with over 6,000 rock carvings, and witness the breathtaking Gobustan Mud Volcanoes. Visit the Bibiheybat Mosque, built in 1267, and the world's first mechanically drilled oil well, established in 1846. Continue to the Surakhani Ship Museum to learn about the maritime heritage of the Caspian Sea and Azerbaijani sailors. (B, L, D)
Baku → Sheki
Leave for the mountain regions of Azerbaijan to witness its
most picturesque corners. Proceed to Sheki, a city of tiled-roof old houses considered one of the most ancient and authentic in the entire Caucasus and a hub of ancient crafts. Stroll along the old town on the historic Silk Road. Visit the Palace of the Sheki Khan, a summer palace built in 1797 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1998. (B, L, D)
Sheki → Sighnaghi → Tbilisi
Bid farewell to Azerbaijan and cross the border to Georgia,
visiting the charming town of Sighnaghi, famous for its wine region landscape. Visit Bodbe Monastery, a 4th-century Georgian Orthodox complex, and the Holy Spring named after Saint Nino. Visit Khareba Winery for a wine-tasting experience. Proceed to Tbilisi, the capital, and visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral, the largest Orthodox church in Georgia. (B, L, D)
Tbilisi → Jvari → Ananuri → Kazbegi
Visit Jvari Monastery, a 6th-century Georgian Orthodox monastery, then Ananuri Fortified Castle, built in the 13th century by a duke of the Georgian royal family. Continue to Stepantsminda, then transfer to a minibus up the mountain to visit Gergeti Trinity Church, the highest church in Georgia at 2,200 metres under Mount Kazbek, before a photo stop at the Russian Georgian Friendship Monument. Kazbegi → Gori → Mtskheta → Tbilisi
Drive to Gori, hometown of former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin,
and visit the Stalin Museum. Proceed to Uplistsikhe Cave City, an ancient rock-hewn town dating to the late Middle Ages. Visit Mtskheta, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world and former capital of the early Georgian Kingdom of Iberia. Cross the border towards Armenia. Take a scenic drive to
Lake Sevan and view the Sevanavank, a monastic complex founded in 874 AD, before arriving in Yerevan for a tour of the Cascade Complex and Republic Square. Stroll along Yerevan Vernissage, a large open-air art market formed in the 1980s, for local souvenirs and handicrafts. (B, L, D)

Stop by Khor Virap Monastery on the Ararat Plain at the border
with Türkiye. Continue to Garni Village and Garni Temple, Armenia's only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building, built in the 1st century AD. Drive to the scenic Geghard Monastery, a 13th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site cut into the rock. Visit Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the first cathedral built in ancient Armenia, and the 7th-century ruins of Zvartnots
Yerevan → Singapore
Spend the day at leisure for some last-minute shopping
