Itinerary

Day 1
► ARRIVAL TO CAIRO
Arrival to Cairo International Airport. Meet and be assisted by our Airport Representative with your Entry Visa to Egypt and all airport formalities, holding a sign with your travel agency name. Meet our driver for your first ride in Cairo, transferring you to your hotel for a 3-night stay. Free time at hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2 (B, L)
► THE GREAT PYRAMIDS & EGYPTIAN MUSEUM
Breakfast at your hotel, then meet our professional tour guide and driver for a day tour to Giza. Visit the three Great Pyramids (Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus) — entry to one of the great pyramids available at extra cost — as well as the Queens' Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, which has kept its secrets for centuries. Visit the Panorama of the Three Pyramids and the Valley Temple (Mummification Temple). Lunch at a pyramids-view restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the famous Egyptian Museum to see the Golden Treasures of King Tut. Transfer back to your hotel for a free evening in Cairo.

Day 3 (B, L)
► OLD CAIRO
Breakfast at your hotel, then meet your guide and driver for your tour of Old Cairo. Transfer to Coptic Cairo to visit St. Sergius Church and the Hanging Church. Lunch at a Nile-view restaurant. Continue to Islamic Cairo to visit the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4 (B, L, D)
► LUXOR EAST BANK – NILE CRUISE CHECK-IN
Breakfast at your hotel, then meet your guide and driver to transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, begin your tour of Luxor's East Bank, visiting Karnak Temple — which covers a huge area and includes several temples, the largest being the Temple of Amun — and Luxor Temple with the famous Avenue of Sphinxes. Transfer to your Nile Cruise and check in for a 4-night stay. Lunch on board. Enjoy free time in the afternoon for a walk through Luxor's open-air market. Dinner on board your Nile Cruise.

Day 5 (B, L, D)
► LUXOR WEST BANK – NILE CRUISE SAILING
After breakfast on board, meet your guide and driver for your tour of Luxor's West Bank. Visit the Hatshepsut Temple, built by the queen who became Pharaoh, at Deir al-Bahari, followed by the Valley of the Kings to explore three Royal Tombs recommended by your guide, with an additional outside visit to the tomb of King Tut (interior visit optional, at extra cost). Visit the Colossi of Memnon before transferring back to your cruise. Lunch on board, then begin sailing towards Edfu along the fertile Nile Valley, passing the Esna Lock en route. Enjoy afternoon tea on the sun deck and free time to relax as you sail. Dinner on board with a folkloric show.

Day 6 (B, L, D)
► EDFU & KOM OMBO TEMPLES – NILE CRUISE SAILING
Breakfast on board, then meet your guide for a horse-carriage visit to the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Lunch on board as your cruise continues sailing towards Kom Ombo through the fertile Nile Valley. Arrive and visit the unique double Temple of Kom Ombo. Enjoy free time on board to relax as you sail. Dinner on board with a Nubian show.

Day 7 (B, L, D)
► ASWAN CITY TOUR
Breakfast on board, then meet your guide for a day tour of Aswan. Visit the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest ancient obelisk in Aswan's granite quarry, the High Dam, and the Temple of Philae, the Temple of Love on the island of Isis. Lunch on board. Enjoy a free afternoon to stroll around Aswan city and its open-air market. Dinner on board your Nile Cruise.

Day 8 (B, L)
► CHECK-OUT – CAIRO
Breakfast on board, then meet your guide to check out and transfer to Aswan Airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, meet your guide and driver for a visit to Khan El-Khalili open-air bazaar and Moaz Street for a free walk and shopping. Transfer to your hotel and check in for a 1-night stay. Free time at your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 9 (B)
► AMMAN
Breakfast at your hotel, followed by a transfer to the airport to fly to Amman. Our representative will greet and assist you on arrival at Amman International Airport, before a private, air-conditioned transfer to your hotel. Check in and overnight in Amman.

Day 10 (B)
► AMMAN HOTEL – PETRA VISIT – PETRA HOTEL
After breakfast, meet your guide and driver for your day tour. Head around 2.5 hours along the Desert Highway to Petra, the spectacular rose-rock city and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World — first established around the 6th century BC by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who laid the foundations of a commercial empire extending into Syria. Your local guide will lead you through Petra's history, beginning with the Siq, the narrow canyon leading to the magnificent Treasury, carved into sandstone and rising over 40 metres. Continue along the Street of Facades, passing the Theatre to the Royal Tombs. Enjoy free time to explore Petra on your own — you may wish to climb the 800 steps to the impressive Monastery (Ad Deir) — before returning along the same trail to the main entrance. Transfer to your Petra hotel for check-in. Overnight in Petra.

Day 11 (B)
► PETRA HOTEL – DEAD SEA BEACH – JERASH – AMMAN HOTEL
Leaving Petra, drive around two and a half hours to the Dead Sea, 430 metres below sea level and the lowest point on Earth. Relax at a beach equipped with locker rooms and showers, float on the buoyant, salt-rich water, and enjoy the mineral-rich mud along the shore. Continue around one and a half hours to Jerash, among the finest examples of a Roman provincial city in the Middle East — its well-preserved ruins lay hidden in sand for centuries before excavations began in 1925. Wander the spectacular Forum, colonnaded streets, the Nymphaeum, theatres and the Temple of Artemis. Transfer to your hotel in Amman, check in and overnight.

Day 12 (B)
► DEPARTURE
Breakfast at your hotel. Based on your departure flight time, meet our local airport representative and driver for your transfer to Amman International Airport to fly back home.
